DROP OFF AND PICK UP PROCEDURES
LANSING ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
20080-2009 SCHOOL YEAR

Drop off and Pick up Times:
Drop off time: 7:40-8:10
Pick up starts at 3:15

Bell Times:
7:40 - Students may enter building
8:00 - Students enter classrooms
8:10 - Tardy Bell
3:15 - Dismissal Bell

Kindergarten through Second Grades:
If your child is in Kindergarten, First, or Second Grade, enter off of Mary Street on the East side of the building. Drive all the way down to the turnaround circle and drop off at the designeated drop off area located on the diagram. If your child is eating breakfast, s/he will enter the school on the East side of the cafeteria (entry point 2 on the diagram). If your child is not eating breakfast, s/he will enter the school by the First grade hallway (entry point 1 on the diagram) and wait outside the classroom. After you drop off your child, you will exit school property by driving in front of the school and exiting either North or South on Bittersweet Street. Note; if you have a child in Thrid, Fourth, or Fifth grades, you may drop them off with their younger sibling(s).

Third through Fifth Grades:
If your child is in Thrid, Fourth or Fifth grades, enter the school property off of Bittersweet Street and drop your child off at the designated drop area located on the diagram. If your child is eating breakfast, s/he will enter the school on the West side of the cafeteria (entry point 3 on the diagram). If you child is not eating breakfast, s/he will enter the school by the Third grade hallway (entry point 4 on the diagram) and wait outside the classroom. After you drop off you child you will drive all the way down tot he turnaround circle and eixt either North or South on Bittersweet Street.

After 8:10, Kindergarten through Fifth Grades:
At 8:10 entry points 1 through 4 (see diagram) will be locked and tardy students will need to be dropped off in front of the school and enter at entry point 5 (see diagram). Please escort your child to the building and sign them in at the office.

Bus Riders:
All bus riders will be dropped off at the front of the school. K-2 students will enter the school at entry point 6 (see diagram) and 3-5 students will enter at entry point 7 (see diagram).

Note: On August 13, 14, and 15, the back parking area (North) will be open for parents to park if they wish to escort their child into the school. Starting on August 18th, the back parking area (North) will be closed and visitors will need to park in front of the school (South).

Pick Up Prodecures:
Pick up procedures will be the same as drop off procedures in the morning. Please chekc the diagram regarding traffic flow for each of the grade levels.
